타악기를 위한 “세 개의 잔상”은 3개의 말렛악기와 3개의 드럼으로 구성된 곡이다. 각 악장을 박자단위(1악장), 음색(2악장), 선율과 음정의 동기(3악장)로 단순화 시킴으로 각각의 ‘잔상’을 표현해내고자 하였다.
Ⅰ. Mind Control - 생각의 통제
계속해서 변해가는 박자와 리듬의 흐름 안에서, 고정된 16분음표단위의 박자가 1악장 전체를 통제한다.
Ⅱ. Daydream - 백일몽
뚜렷하게 형상화할 수 없는 꿈의 느낌을 마치 수채화를 그리듯 묘사했다. 말렛악기만의 음색을 중심으로 연주된 악장이다.
Ⅲ. Daily Routine - 일상
반복적인 음악적 동기가 작은 변화를 일으키며 캐논형태로 진행된다. 같은 듯 다른, 변하는 듯 변하지 않는 일상을 표현한다.

"Three Afterimages" for Percussion Ensemble is composed for three mallets and three drums. Each movement is designed to portray an individual afterimage, with the first movement centered on the beat, the second movement on the tone, and the third movement on the melody that is the motif.
I. Mind Control
The fixed 16th-note-based beat controls the entire first movement upon the basis of constantly changing beats and rhythms.
II. Daydream
The feelings about a dream that is hard to fathom and concretize are depicted as if painting with watercolors. The entire second movement centers on the tone color of the mallets.
III. Daily Routine
The motif is repeated with small variations in a canon style. It represents daily life that appears repetitive and unique at the same time.
