커다란 동굴 안에서 사방으로 부딪히는 소리를 상상해본다. 맨 처음에 만들어진 소리는 동굴 벽에 부딪혀 또 다른 소리들을 만들어내고, 그 소리들은 또 다른 소리들을 만들어내고... 처음과는 다른 소리들이 만들어진다. 마치 수많은 상념과 번뇌들이 꼬리에 꼬리를 물어나가듯이... 이러한 소리들은 첼로의 하모닉스, 글리산도, overpressure등의 다양한 주법을 통해 만들어지는 음색들을 통해 표현되었다.
작품해설(영문)
Imagine how sounds keep recreating themselves and echo inside a cave. The initial sound strikes against walls and continues to lead to a series of subsequent sounds. As a result, sounds completely different from the initial sound come into being, as if anguish and agony continue to pile up in layers. These sounds are embodied through the tone colors created by harmonics, glissando, and overpressure of the cello.
