The following is La's own comments on his work. "Suffering from illness, I frequently ponder on 'Birth, aging, illness, and death.' Every human being goes thtough joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness in one' own way. I have a strong tendency to meditate on sorrow.
In this work, I would like to portray the gried caused primarily by physical suffering, Yet, at the same time, I tried to portray a process in which the suffering turns into true joy, thereby illustrating the ways in which these seemingly incompatible emotions co-exist."
In part 1, artificial D Dorian mode is used, and in part 2 artificial E Phrygian mode is used.
