This work was conceived in 1983 and completed in late 1984. The work was performed first by conductor Roman Kofman from the T.S.S.R at the Concert Hall, Seoul Arts Center on June 23, 1991, when the 30th regular concert of Seoul Symphony Orchestra was held.The work is divided into two sections. The Korean emotion and resentment and the supportive appearance of Namhan River transfigured with the history of Korea are expressed in the first section. In the second section, an unforgettable, lamentable period in the present history of Korea is revealed.
