Written in 1985, this solo piece for piano is the consequence of the conposer's exploration of "the nature of sonority". The composer's attempt to recognize not organized sonud but sonority inherited in sound can be found in specified pedal techniques which create delicate changes of tone color. The theme with only one note. A♭, acts as an axis of symmetry around that note. With other notes being exponded by A♭ and absorbed into it, the composer delves into sonority of piano.
