A work commissioned by the Seoul Saeul Gayageum Trio in 1992, this is a piece for Gayageum trio in high, middle and low tonal registers.
"Dam-Jeup" signifies a clear liquid, and seems to invoke the image of waves created by throwing a stone into a clear pond.
The piece is a developed version of the composer's earlier works, such as "Myeong" and "Jeognchwi". The motif represented in those pieces in here made richer with the three voices of the trio.
This work has a complex rhythmic structure, employing various odd-numbered beat divisions. This may appear in a single melodic part, or two parts may engage in a dialogue using such rhythms. It can also appear simultaneously among more than two parts. his particular piece invokes the feeling one has upon encoutering an elegant ink-and-wash painting
