The 'Chant d' Amour d'un Papillong Ⅴ ('Love Song of a Butterfly Ⅴ') for clarinet and cello' is based on the poem 'Love Song of a Butterfly' by Sister Hae-In Lee. It depicts our ideological and philosophical meditations dedicated to God, unfolding in a pure, beautiful, and touching way. In this piece, a butterfly's wish and its prayer to be near God are enhanced by nature's elements such as clouds, flowers, wind, trees, and weeds in the wilderness. Clarinet and cello alternate as the butterfly and the Nature, singing the sublimity and the pathetic aspects of love. As the Nature becomes increasingly polluted and the human nature more and more arid, I tried to convey the feelings and emotions that move our heart, just like being drenched by rain.
